Hello bookworms! I was lucky enough to be included in the blog tour for Collateral by Alexandra Ayers and she answered some questions I had!
Don’t worry! I asked the important ones like whether any dogs die in her book and what is her favorite Beyonce song. I try to get the answers you want to know 🙂 So, without further ado, here is my interview with the author of Collateral, Alexandra Ayer.

Interview
What got you started writing?
I was reading an author’s bio and she said that she wanted to write her own stories, so she did! Which got me thinking about writing my own story and what I would write about.
Is there any part of your writing process you think is unique?
I have a reference book that lists internal and external reactions to emotions and I always have that open when I write.
What was the idea that sparked Collateral?
I love dark romance and just kept thinking about if I were to write an Motorcycle club book what would it be about.
Which of the characters do you connect with most and why?
Allison really resonates with me because you get an initial impression of her which makes you think one thing but she is really different than what you’d expect. Many people have told me that I’m different than their first impression.
This is important: Can you tell us if any dogs die in Collateral?
Yes, in the very beginning. It’s a dog fight scene and since only one can win…
What about the romance genre has drawn you to it?
I really enjoy watching characters overcome whatever obstacles are in their way and still fight for their love/relationship.
What books inspired you to become a writer?
Pretty much all the indie romance books I read the authors didn’t wait for permission. They just wrote and self-published!
What is your all-time favorite Beyonce song?
FLAWLESS
