I wasn’t born in the 90s but that’s when my early childhood was. I remember when Baby One More Time and NSYNC came out. I played Spice Girls with my friends in elementary school (I was Ginger Spice). I sang Destiny’s Child with my friends in daycare. I’m a 90s kid lol.
What’s My Age Again- Blink 182:
At what age did you discover your love of reading?
ohhhh boy. I probably first started loving reading when I was really little. Like 5 or 6. Then I pretty much stopped reading for fun once I got into middle school and high school. It wasn’t until I was in my 20s that I picked it back up. I started reading all the classics and then I read the Hunger Games in 3 days (all the books) and I just kept going from there.
All Star- Smash Mouth:
What is your favorite genre?
There are multiples. Romance, mystery, fantasy, historical fiction, and thrillers. And in terms of age range, I love YA, middle grade, and adult books.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Deep Blue Something:
What’s your go-to reading snack/drink?
I never eat when I’m reading. NEVER. lol that’s not a rule, it’s just how it happens. I read really late at night so snacks really aren’t on my mind.
Give It Away – Red Hot Chili Peppers:
What book do you ALWAYS recommend to people?
Ok, there’s a list:
- Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand
- The Good Luck Girls by Charlotte Nicole Davis
- Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
- Mooncakes by Suzanne Walker and Wendy Xu
…Baby One More Time – Britney Spears:
A book or series you have read more than once?
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, 1984 by George Orwell, Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle, and Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Brown are really the only books I’ve ever reread. There are so many books to read (especially when I’m reading them for work) that it’s hard to find time to reread.
Tearin’ Up My Heart – N’Sync:
A book that broke your heart to finish?
oh, this is easy. The Bronzed Beasts by Roshani Chokshi. It KILLED ME. I sobbed for a good hour off and on. The GIlded Wolves series will live in my heart forever.
Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana:
A book that you read as a teen that you still love today?
Oh goodness. I did not read a lot when I was a teen. Probably Lord of the Rings (the whole series), Sherlock Holmes, and Pride and Prejudice.
Hurt- Nine Inch Nails:
What book do you love that deals with heavier subjects?
…all of the books I read lol. Um…probably The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It deals with suicide and mental illness and I relate to it A LOT.
I’m tagging anyone who is reading this right now!
If you’d like to support me, buying me a strawberry milkshake (or a Kofi, whatever) goes a long way to keeping this blog up and making my life a little more stable. Love you all!
