A PRIDE AND PREJUDICE RETELLING!! Yes, here we are again with a Pride and Prejudice story. Like we aren't talking about a Pride and Prejudice retelling like every 5th post on this blog LOL! But here we are today with How to Fall in Love with a Man You Thought You Hated by Elizabeth Adams!
BOXERS!! I have a weakness. Which is why I was like "HELL YESSS" when I got the email about this tour. But there's not only a boxer! There's also a heroine who can hold her own, a second-chance romance for a supporting character, AND possibly one of the hottest kisses known to man.
To absolutely no one's surprise, I am presenting you with a Pride and Prejudice variation/retelling! As I've said before, it is my mission to read all Jane Austen retellings so when I saw this come into my inbox, I was already on board. Sons of Pemberley by Elizabeth Adams tells the story of the past… Continue reading Sons of Pemberley by Elizabeth Adams Blog Tour: Excerpt and Giveaway
Here we go again! Historical romance, anyone?? This is also called "the publicist/marketing person sends Sarah an eARC and apparently she can't say no". Soooo, here we are again. Let's discuss The Devil in Her Bed by Kerrigan Byrne. Synopsis (from Goodreads): He lives in secret service to the Crown—a man of duty, deception, and… Continue reading The Devil in Her Bed: Amazing Backstory but the Rest Falls Flat
HISTORICAL ROMANCE TIME!! (again lol). As soon as I read that the heroine in this book actually had a job, I was in. That's rare in most of the historical fiction I've read, but especially so for an heiress. This heroine's determination to keep that job no matter who she's in love with or who's… Continue reading The Heiress Gets a Duke by Harper St. George Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway
I've read the book before this one in the Bow Street Bachelors series so I didn't go in completely clueless to these characters like I normally do when I read a book halfway through a series lol. Shocking, I know! But while I didn't love the second book, To Catch an Earl, I did like… Continue reading The Princess and the Rogue: Some Good Moments and Some Meh Moments
Welcome to "Sarah reads the second book in a series before she reads the first" once again. How many times will I do this? The limit does not exist. But here we are and y'all know I can't stay away from a historical fiction or a lady thief, so when I got the email about this book, I was like YES PLEASE! So let's talk The Gentleman and the Thief by Sarah M. Eden.
Here we are again!😊 Let's be honest, I'd be writing about a new Mimi Matthews book whether I was on the blog tour or not, but luckily, I was asked and I replied within five minutes of getting the email.
Blog tour time!! As soon as I read the synopsis for Shelley and the Unknown Lady, I knew I wanted to feature it in some way on my blog. I studied Shelley (both Percy and Mary) and Byron in school and I've always had a soft spot/fascination for them, so seeing this historical fiction look at his life and possible love...I was allll for that!
As y'all can probably tell from the amount of times it shows up on this blog, historical fiction (and historical romance, especially) is definitely one of my favorite genres. I love the idea of getting to know characters from a different time, even if it wasn't all that long ago.
